I’m grateful for this project

We wrote each other letters and shared pictures of our worlds. Then we created together, mailing our rolls of film across the world to rewound and double exposed.

We took turns. You do the backgrounds on this roll, I’ll do the foregrounds. Or, you shoot people with this roll. I’ll shoot places.

My pen pal’s face magically transposed upon Mid-City, my city. The 10 freeway overpass on Washington and Fairfax.
